Description:

Looking for qualified candidates to work as math/science tutors at Cedar High School. We will be holding sessions in the afternoon, and evening Monday through Thursday.

Duties:

Duties include helping High School students with their homework in math/science or writing. Other duties include setting up and taking down equipment and advertising materials, increasing student attendance, communicating issues, ideas, and important information with the Tutoring Center Manager. Spanish speaking is required as some Spanish speaking students come in for tutoring. Also, attendance at some STEM activities would be required as well.

Qualifications:

  • Current SUU student pursuing a STEM degree or English/Writing degree.
  • Must be able to work shifts that will give a minimum of 5 hours per week, ability to work afternoons 2-4 PM will be given additional preference.
  • Recommended to have taken and completed MATH 1210 (Calculus I) or English 1010 and English 2010.
  • Comfortable teaching and/or researching a wide range of high school math/science or writing subjects.
  • Must be able to pass a background check through ICSD and SUU.
  • Dependable and punctual, friendly, good communication skills a must.
  • Must be able to maintain a clean and neat, professional appearance.
